I frickin' love Volition Ferrell movies. Really, the dude tin just be sitting quietly in a chair, and I start cracking upward.
I've seen Step Brothers about twenty times. That's my favorite one, with Night at the Roxbury and Elf tied for 2d.
I caught Anchorman for the first time a few weeks ago, and fifty-fifty though I didn't like it as much as I idea I would, I loved the makeup…
Yup, the makeup.
The movie'south set in the 1970s. Will Ferrell plays this cheesy news anchorman who pursues a beautiful and ambitious reporter, Veronica Corningstone, played by Christina Applegate.
Through the whole movie, I couldn't keep my optics off of Christina's lips. Her character wears bright, middle-communicable lip colors, and if you look closely, you tin meet also run across a shimmery highlight on height of her cupid's bow, at the top eye of her upper lip.
Information technology's a lilliputian thing, just it adds a lot to your expect, especially when you really desire to put the focus on your pout and brand your upper lip wait a little more lifted.
I do this play a trick on a lot because it merely takes a few seconds…
And there'south not much to it. I usually use an centre pencil brush, ane with a small castor head like the MAC 219. Information technology has a stiff, dumbo, pointy end that's swell for little details similar this.
I use all kinds of different highlighters for this one, too — creams, liquids, solid sticks, pressed powders, loose powders and pencil highlighters. Give it a try with one of your favorites.
Some ideas for highlighters…
- Sonia Kashuk Perfecting Translucent Illuminator
- Benefit High Axle and Moon Beam
- Benefit Watt'southward Up
- MAC Iridescent Powder/Loose in Silver Sunset
- MAC Iridescent Powder/Loose in Golden Statuary
- Urban Decay Urbanglow Foam Highlighters
- NARS Illuminators
Here I'thousand using a silvery pinkish biscuit loose powder, MAC Iridescent/Loose Powder in Silverish Dusk.
MAC Silver Dusk
Subsequently applying my lipstick/gloss/liner/etc., I just catch my pencil and highlighter, and gently pat a bit of the shimmer along the top center of my upper lip. Then, I alloy out any visible edges with a finger or a blending castor like the MAC 217.

That's it! 🙂
